Description

These Cheeseburger Bowls with Copycat Big Mac Sauce offer a delicious and low-carb alternative to traditional burgers. Featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and a creamy Big Mac-style sauce, this recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal served in bowl form without any buns.

Ingredients

Scale

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 Tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Burger and Bowls

  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • Cooked potato wedges or French fries
  • Sliced red onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, finely minced white onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until well combined. Cover and refrigerate the sauce while preparing the rest of the meal.
  2. Cook the Burger: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the diced white onion and ground beef. Cook and crumble the beef until it’s fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Once cooked, drain any excess grease from the pan.
  3. Season the Beef: Reduce the heat to low, then season the cooked ground beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir thoroughly and continue cooking on low for an additional 5 minutes to incorporate the flavors.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked beef evenly among four medium-sized bowls. Top each bowl with chopped romaine lettuce, freshly grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, and cooked potato wedges or French fries. Add sliced red onion if desired.
  5. Add the Sauce and Serve: Drizzle a generous amount of the prepared Big Mac sauce over each bowl. Serve immediately and enjoy your cheeseburger bowls!

Notes

  • For a lower-carb option, omit the potato wedges or fries.
  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken if preferred.
  • Make the Big Mac sauce ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days for convenience.
  • Adjust seasoning according to your taste preferences.
  • This recipe is customizable with your favorite cheese or additional vegetables like avocado or jalapeños.
