Scale
Salad Ingredients
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce (chopped or 3 romaine hearts chopped)
- 8 slices Bacon (cooked until crispy and cut into bite-size pieces)
- 4-6 large Hard Boiled Eggs (sliced in half or chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups Grape Tomatoes (sliced in half)
- 1 large Avocado (may sprinkle with lemon juice to avoid browning)
- 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese, Blue Cheese, or Feta Cheese
Dressing
- Homemade Ranch Dressing (amount as desired for tossing)
Instructions
- Cook Bacon: Cook the bacon using your preferred method—either in a skillet over medium heat or baked in the oven at 400°F (204°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat, then cut into bite-size pieces.
- Prepare Vegetables: Slice the grape tomatoes in half lengthwise and sprinkle a pinch of salt over them. Dice the avocado into small pieces and optionally sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Chop Lettuce and Assemble: Chop the romaine lettuce into small, bite-size pieces and layer it on your serving dish. Top the lettuce evenly with the cooked bacon pieces, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese of your choice.
- Add Dressing and Serve: When ready to serve, toss the salad gently with homemade ranch dressing to coat all ingredients evenly. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors and textures.
Notes
- To avoid avocado browning, sprinkle diced avocado with fresh lemon juice.
- Bacon can be cooked in the oven or skillet based on preference and convenience.
- The salad can be customized with different cheese types such as Monterey Jack, blue cheese, or feta depending on taste.
- Hard boiled eggs can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated.
- Serve immediately after dressing to maintain the crisp texture of the salad ingredients.
