Description

This comforting Crockpot Pork Chops & Stuffing recipe combines tender pork chops with a creamy mushroom sauce and buttery stuffing. Easy to prepare and cook slowly in the crockpot, it’s perfect for a hearty and satisfying family dinner with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • 2.5 lbs pork chops (5 pork chops)

Vegetables

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 ribs celery, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Wet Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Other

  • 6 oz box stove top stuffing mix (any flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crockpot base: Lay the pork chops in the bottom of your crockpot evenly, then sprinkle the diced onions, sliced celery, and minced garlic right over the top to add flavor and aroma.
  2. Make the creamy sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth until smooth and well combined. Pour this creamy mixture evenly over the pork chops in the crockpot.
  3. Mix the stuffing: Using the same bowl to minimize dishes, stir together the stuffing mix and melted butter until the mixture is evenly coated with butter, ensuring a rich taste.
  4. Add stuffing topping: Spread the buttery stuffing mixture evenly over the top of the pork chops and sauce in the crockpot to create a delicious crust.
  5. Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for about 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the pork chops are tender and reach an internal temperature of at least 145°F, ensuring food safety and optimal texture.

Notes

  • Use any flavor of stuffing mix you prefer to customize the dish.
  • Check pork chops with a meat thermometer to ensure they are fully cooked.
  • For thicker sauce, you can add less chicken broth or cook slightly longer uncovered at the end.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
