Description

These festive Grinch Oreo Truffles are a delightful holiday treat combining crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in vibrant green candy melts and decorated with red and green sprinkles and white chocolate drizzle. Perfect for Christmas parties or gifting, these no-bake truffles are easy to make and sure to impress with their fun Grinch-inspired look.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (about 15-20 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

Coating and Decorations

  • Green candy melts
  • White chocolate chips or Wilton candy melts for decorating
  • Red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until evenly crumbed.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: Combine the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese in a bowl, mixing thoroughly until a uniform dough-like mixture forms.
  3. Form balls and chill: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Melt green candy melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second increments, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Dip truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, coat each truffle ball in the melted green candy, ensuring full coverage. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment paper.
  6. Decorate: Before the coating hardens, sprinkle red and green sprinkles over each truffle and optionally drizzle with melted white chocolate for added decoration.
  7. Set and serve: Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating is firm. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened for easier mixing.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, crushing Oreos in a sealed bag works just as well.
  • Use a fork to dip and remove truffles for less mess and easier handling.
  • You can swap candy melts for colored white chocolate melts depending on availability.
  • Store the truffles refrigerated in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • Allow the truffles to come to room temperature before serving for best flavor.
