Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Glaze
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Bacon and Toppings
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Buns
- 12 slider buns
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it ready for baking the chicken.
- Prepare Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Bake Chicken: Transfer the seared chicken breasts to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Cook Bacon: While the chicken bakes, cook the bacon slices in a skillet until crispy. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Make Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and Dijon mustard to create a sweet and tangy glaze.
- Glaze Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush the maple glaze generously over the chicken pieces.
- Slice Chicken: Cut the glazed chicken into slider-sized pieces suitable for the buns.
- Assemble Sliders: On each slider bun, layer a piece of glazed chicken, a slice of crispy bacon, some shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Serve: Top each slider with the bun top and serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Make sure chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- For extra flavor, you can toast the slider buns lightly before assembling.
- Use thick-cut bacon for more texture, or turkey bacon for a leaner option.
- These sliders are best served fresh but can be wrapped and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
- Leftover glaze can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
