Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 1 can (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
Filling
- 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, softened
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 3/4 cup finely chopped broccoli
- 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a large baking sheet with cooking spray to ensure the rolls don’t stick during baking.
- Roll out the dough: Press the refrigerated pizza dough out into a large rectangle about 12 by 16 inches on a clean, lightly floured surface to prepare it for layering.
- Prepare and spread filling: In a small bowl, mix softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough. Then, evenly sprinkle the chopped ham, finely chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, grated parmesan cheese, and chopped green onions on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Roll and slice: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough up into a tight log shape, pinching the seam closed to seal the filling inside. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 approximately one-inch thick pieces.
- Arrange and bake: Place the sliced rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the rolls are lightly golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these warm, cheesy spiral stuffed rolls as a delicious appetizer or snack.
Notes
- You can substitute the ham with cooked bacon or turkey for a different flavor.
- For a vegetarian version, omit ham and add extra vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Make sure the cream cheese and butter are softened for easy spreading.
- Chop the broccoli very finely so it spreads and bakes evenly inside the roll.
- Serve warm for best taste; leftover rolls can be reheated in the oven to restore crispiness.
